Two months of 2017

In September and October, he paints incessantly.
He is restless, he is at his creative best.
The powder pastels are at his command.
As soon as one painting is over
he compulsively begins the next.
What makes him so restless?
Why such barren and brooding landscapes?
Strangely, this is one of the few times
when he is happy and satisfied
immediately after he has finished a painting.
